Foundational Literature for the Modern Student
Available in 2027–2028
Omnibus V, designed for grades 10 and up and for students who have completed Omnibus II, is the second text in the second cycle of the Omnibus curriculum from Veritas Press. This course explores the great works of Western Civilization from the early church fathers through the Protestant Reformation. Omnibus V introduces more challenging texts and engages students at a higher academic and rhetorical level, helping them refine their critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills. The focus remains on grappling with ideas rather than merely gathering information, all within a Biblical worldview.
Daily readings, assignments, and activities lead students to interact with the greatest works of Western Civilization in a challenging, enjoyable, and profitable way. Students read both primary masterworks and carefully selected secondary texts that complement the study of the period. Through this approach, students continue to develop their rhetorical skills, aesthetic discernment, and the ability to evaluate ideas thoughtfully and faithfully.
