THE MODERN WORLD SINCE THE REFORMATION
OMNIBUS III
Foundational literature for the modern student
Available for 2024-2025
Omnibus III, for 7th through 9th graders, is the third text in the first cycle of the Omnibus curriculum from the publisher Veritas Press. Omnibus III leads the student through the study of the great works of the modern world since the time of the Reformation. Readings and discussions are based on modern British and U.S. history and theology, and the literature is taken from the same period. Integrating these disciplines provides a tremendous opportunity for students to grow in their appreciation of the unity of all knowledge as God has revealed it. All the material is taught through a Biblical worldview. Like the previous courses, this study emphasizes ideas over mere information.
Along with guided activities in the Omnibus III Student Text, students read the primary masterworks and secondary titles that correlate with the period. "Primary" books are key source materials, which are essential for understanding the period. "Secondary" literature adds richness and depth to the study.
